National LF-10 for HRO-500
LF/VLF Preselector
I am cleaning house -- too much stuff in the radio shack.
Up for offer is a very rare LF-10 VLF/LF (serial number 113-004) preselector for the HRO-500. These are very rare as very few were made.
The LF-10 is designed to provide LF/VLF (15-50 kHz and 150-500 kHz) coverage to a HR-500 receiver.
The LF -10 is delivered ready for either rack or table mounting. Rack-mounting flanges with handles are supplied (see photo) and may beremoved when the LF -10 is table -mounted under the HR0-500 receiver. The top has dipples that fit the feet of the HRO-500.Antenna matching controls are incorporated in the LF -10 to permit use of random length antennas as well as 50 ohm feed lines. Antenna switching circuits are provided to permit use of one antenna for both HF and LF operation or separate antennas if available. Antenna switchover isperformed automatically when the LF -10 is in use.A three-inch monitoring loudspeaker is built into the LF -10 with a separate monitoring audio channel to permit independent monitoring
of a line being fed by the receiver output. The monitoring speaker and its audio channel may beused in place of a separate loudspeaker in both LF and HF operation.
Good physical condition. Electrical condition is unknown, except for the speaker/audio circuits which work and provide the audio output for the HRO-500 when connected.
Comes with original manual and cable (see photo) to connect it to the HRO-500. Other connections are antenna jumper and LO (low loss audio cable) which are owner supplied (not supplied).
Very reasonable reserve - just to clean house.
