Very Heavy iron? base mantel clock with a Conquerer on his horse. Base measures 6.75\" deep by 19\" wide. Horse stands 15.5\" tall, clock stands 13\" from top to bottom of the base. Beautiful black base appears to be maybe iron with cherub centerpiece. Rider and his horse are in great condition, he appears to maybe have held a sword at one point?Clock hands are present, piece that holds them on are not, I have not tried to get it working. It is from my grandmother\'s estate and she passed at 94 recently. She had told me that my grandfather had cleaned it at one point. I think it is bronze possibly. Beautiful details on the base, the rider and the clock. I could not find a maker or any markings on the clock or base. Both my grandparents were in the antiques business for years. I tried to do some research on it but could not find another one like it online anywhere. I believe it to be from the late 1800\'s, early 1900\'s. It is very heavy hence the shipping costs as I will have it professionally wrapped for shipping. It can also be picked up locally in Cincinnati, and I also travel to Columbus/Cleveland/Pittsburgh fairly regularly if you want to save on shipping costs.
