The built-in storage compartments keep all of your frequently used accessories
handy such as presser feet, bobbins, needles, scissors, etc.It is made of high quality sturdy vinyl and there are metal reinforcements on the
six legs, which can be adjusted in height. The legs fold away for easy storage.
There are a total of 10 compartment.

In 1919 Vittorio Necchi, of Italy\'s famous Necchimanufacturing family, returned from WWI to take his place running theircast iron foundry in Pavia. He soon saw that the business world wasrapidly changing and the family business would need explore a newdirection. When his wife asked him to buy her a sewing machine, her onlychoices were imported models made in the U.S. and northern Europe.Vittorio had an idea: why not create Italy\'s first sewing machinescompany?
Vittorio set up his first sewing machine productionfacility with 40 workers and by 1924 had produced his first model, theNecchi BD. Initially sales were small, but with persistence and constantimprovement Necchi soon introduced the BU model with advanced featureslike a zigzag stitch. Sales began to take off.
By 1946 the Necchi Sewing Machine Company was producing1,000 machines a day, employing 4,500 workers, and selling to more than10,000 retailers. Now the U.S. and the rest of Europe were importingthese high quality Italian machines.
Throughout the 20th century Necchi continued toinnovate with machines like the boldly futuristic Logica and the elegantMirella, which is part of the permanent collection at the Museum ofModern Art in New York City.
