- The NASA Space Shuttle scale model kit is packaged in a rectangular box and encased in a plastic shrink film. The packaging has never been opened. The lower left corner of the box promotes the YOUNG ASTRONAUTS with an enclosed FREE POSTER and a MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. Another promo sticker on the outside of the shrink film advertises YOUNG ASTRONAUTS SWEEPSTAKES, where a lucky entrant might win a trip to the Kennedy Space Center.
- Condition of the model kit is VERY GOOD overall. There is a slight fading of color saturation, especially the yellows, on the box front face but it does not take away from the appearance of the quality color shuttle artwork. There are wrinkles in the cardboard of the box at the right end. This can be clearly seen in the photos. It is not a damaging crush or impact, but rather from being packed too tight into a moving box at one point.
- The balance of the model kit is free from cuts, punctures, tears or stains. Only a bit of superficial \"dirt\" remains on the outside of the shrink film. We leave that cleanup to the new owner to address.
