THERE IS NO SHIPPING on any of these motors- I do not have the time to box /crate motors and drive them the 2 1/2 to 5 1/4 hour round trip to ABF shipping docks- I am far out in the country not near any truck ship depots and we have tried UPS / Fedex with POOR results- lots of damage- PICK UP or delivery according to the terms below ONLY!! TRAVEL / DELIVERY ROUTE:
DAY 1: Friday November 4, 2016 I will be departing Western KY Zip Code 42211 first thing in the morning and proceeding EAST on the Western KY Parkway then NORTH on I-65 then NORTHEAST on I-265 skirting Louisville to I-71 NORTH through Cincinnati, Columbus and north to the intersection of I-76 EAST. I will continue on I-76 EAST to I-80 EAST through upstate PA to Route 15 South To Interstate 83 South to YORK, PA area final destination.
DAY 2: starting late Saturday November 5, 2016 in the afternoon, I will take US 30 WEST to I-81 SOUTH and will take that road all the way through VIRGINIA, likely stopping overnight near the intersection of I-81 and I-77. Sunday Morning November 6, 2016 I will continue down I-81 SOUTH to I-40 WEST through Knoxville and Nashville to I-24 WEST back into Kentucky.
PLEASE ask all questions regarding logistics of delivery arrangements BEFORE offerding. If you are a zero or low response buyer EMAIL ME first before offerding or I may delete your offer- we have had 90% of our zero/low response offerding activity turn out to be frivolous in recent years. I may send you a quick email to confirm that you are along the delivery route, if you fail to respond to that email then that tells me that you are not up to communicating the way that we will have to in order to have a successful delivery transaction- I may pull your offer if you do not respond.
This is all very simple- all we need to do the transaction is a gas station or fast food place right off the highway where we can meet and exchange cash for motor(s). Please note that I do not deliver to houses or businesses- delivery is free and my trip is long, I do not have time to add more time to the trip. If you are high buyer at sale end then we need to exchange contact information in a timely manner, as well as what exit number off of what interstate highway you plan to meet me and your lead time to get to that location so that I know when to call you- just common sense stuff. MOTOR DESCRIPTION
Here for your offerding please is a LOW HOUR all original 1962 model year Evinrude BIG TWIN Electric Starting short shaft outboard motor. This motor has some sun wear to the cowl but all paint and decals remain original. The motor is just coming out of two decades of storage and has not been run recently. Take a look at the beautiful condition of the engine block of this motor- it has obviously not been abused overheated or even had many hours put on it. The motor does pull over with good stout compression on each cylinder and shifts through the gears just fine. You will likely need to give this motor the usual tinkering with magneto, carburetor, update the fuel lines, water pump inspection/replacement- the usual tinkering needed to make one of these OMC classics run again. The good news is that the wear and replace PARTS for this motor are THE CHEAPEST of any outboard motor to mechanically refurbish and get back going again- and they made so many of these 25, 30, 33, 35 and 40 horsepower Big Twins that the parts will never run out!! I may be able to help with some of the tune up parts if I have any in stock. NOT many of these vintage Big Twin motors are showing up THIS nice with LOW hours these days- DO NOT miss out!! !!!
TRANSACTION TERMS: Motors are to be paid CASH upon pick up in western Kentucky zip code 42211. I do NOT ship motors. Period. I am a one man show and truck shipping depot docks are MANY HOURS away from me. Pickup needs to happen within 7 days of sale end unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
