Gamewell Master Fire Alarm Box
Vintage Gamewell Master Three-Fold
Fire Alarm Box
This is a vintage Gamewell Master Fire Box circa 1924. It is a Master Box with the auxiliary mechanism located in the top right in the inner case as shown.
From Gamewell: "Gamewell Master Fire Alarm Box: Master fire alarm boxes have provisions for electrical actuation in addition to the manual operation.
They are designed to provide the connecting link between a principal municipal or industrial fire alarm system and auxiliary type
fire alarm systems installed for protection of public buildings, schools, industrial plants etc. With such provisions, any alarm
originating from heat detectors, smoke detectors, sprinkler heads, etc. are automatically transmitted through the Three-Fold Master Fire
Alarm Box to the central headquarters.".
It has a patent date of Jan. 1924 on the pull down plate and 1934 on the mechanism inside. It is in good original condition with some paint
chipping as shown. It has the key. The internal mechanism works good when wound up and tripped when the front lever is pulled.
It is missing the terminal strip on the inside as shown. The code wheel is "343" and the front plate is "328". You can buy a
matching code wheel and number plate on . The test key is in the holder on the white inner door as shown. Would be a nice restoration
piece or a nice display as is.
I am only shipping in the USA only at this time.
