HIGHEST QUALITY, VERY HIGH SENSITIVITY, STATE-OF-THE-ART DOSIMETER GEIGER COUNTER FOR MEASURING NUCLEAR RADIATION
NEW IN BOX. UNUSED. BRAND NEW. STILL UNDER WARRANTY. COMES WITH CERTIFICATE OF CALIBRATION AND COMPLIANCE.
Also comes with Vinyl Zipper-up carry case as shown, and proof of authenticity PLUS VALID CURRENT CALIBRATION CERTIFICATION, and CD with manuals, training, and catalog.
MANUFACTURED IN 2011!!!A FEW NOTES ON THE INSPECTOR+ :
1. The Inspector was replaced by the Inspector+. We are getting the
Inspector+. I simply dropped the '+' because it only comes one way
now. SE International changed the software and added an alert function
to create the Inspector+.
2. COMPARISON WITH The RADEX 1706:
--The 1706 meter is a gamma dose rate meter.
It measures the dose rate in uSv/h and has a fairly long response time of 26
seconds for low-level radiation (speeds up to 1 second at higher dose
rates). The RADEX is useful only for measuring ambient
airborne radiation. It has units of doserate only (uSv/h). It is not
possible to take a long timed count. It is only good for spot
--The Inspector+ is a contamination meter. It
is much more sensitive. It sees alphas, betas and gammas quite well.
It is used for close-up monitoring of surfaces and is useful for swipe
measurements. It has a timer function to enable long time counts.
The detector is a full-size industry standard pancake G-M
--The Inspector can be used for both contamination
and airborne radiation. It has units of both cpm (contamination) and uSv/h
(ambient dose rate). You can take long timed counts. There is an
output for sending the pulses to a computer for trending.YOU CAN WATCH THIS VERY SAME MODEL IN ACTION Digital Radiation Inspector is a small, handheld, microprocessor-based instrument which offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays. The digital readout is displayed with a red count light and a beeper sounds with each count detected. Other features include an adjustable timer, external calibration controls and adjustable Halogen-quenched, uncompensated GM tube with thin mica window, 1.4-2.0 mg/cm2 areal density. Effective diameter of window is 45 mm (1.75 in.). Radiation symbol on front label marks the center of the detector.
4 digit liquid crystal display with indicators.
Display will update every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the moving average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the moving average decreases as the radiation level increasesEnergy Sensitivity
