Good condition very early American Fraternal sword made for the International Order of Odd fellows, Patriarchs Militant branch. This good looking piece has a 28” engraved blade made by M.C.Lilley & Company, Columbus Ohio with the member’s name of Gottireb Haaag. Blade is all gray and fully engraved on both sides with some old scattered scale. Brass cross guard and pommel cap have a beautiful old patina and a little loose. Black leather grip has a brass wire wrap around it with some flaking to the leather. Correct original steel scabbard has 3 hanger rings and 3 brass ferrels with very fancy designs and a nice old patina. Metal scabbard has an all brown finish with a small sweep in the center, needs throat and screw. Classic looking early American Fraternal sword that will make a fine display and a fun research project.
