OLD 1932-1937 KODAK SIX-16 FOLDING CAMERA W/ ORIG BOX:
$40.00

This camera is the Kodak Six-16 Folding Camera with black morroco grain covering. It was advertised as being the world\'s smallest camera that took big pictures. The bellows were made with black leather. These cameras were made between 1932 and 1937. The shutter was a Kodak Kodon and it has a No. 1 Kodak Doublet lens. It also features Kodak\'s brilliant viewfinder. This camera takes 8 pictures on size 616 film, and originally sold for $40.00 back in 1932. With inflation rates, that would equal $682.00 today. The camera was easy to use because of its size, and ease of use: one button and the camera opens, and erects itself and you\'re ready to shoot. Then, push down on the arms, and it folds up.
This camera has a great art deco feel and look. Because of its size, and ease, this camera was very popular during WWII. The nickel finish around the lens very good. All the way around this camera, you have to appreciate the detail. The stand retracts into the bed instead of folding out.

This camera is in very good condition with very little patina, as shown in my many pictures. The nickel finish around the lens and the lettering is very good. The leather is very good and tight all the way around the camera, as shown. Mechanically, the camera is also very good. The shutter works fine. The bellows are also very good with no pin holes. The stand/latch is perfect, the red lens is present and hidden behind the door as shown, the take up spool is absent, and the handle is perfect. The lenses are all perfectly clean, inside and out. The camera is a small, pretty one, measuring 7\" long when folded up. The metal sides have a nice finish with little patina. There is one mark on the side below the handle, as shown.
This camera also comes with its original box. The bottom is fine, but the top has 3 out of 4 corners broken, but no taped. One end of the box is separated, as shown. Although it is in poor condition, it did protect this nice camera all these years.
For being around 80 years old, this camera\'s condition is not expected. This camera hardly looks used at all. Great camera for the money.
As I do many times, I am going to start the sale at its original price of 83 years ago.
Shipping for this camera will be only $8.50 anywhere in the U.S. for 2-3 day Priority mail.
