Old Navajo or Pueblo Gorgeous Beautiful Turquoise Ring Sterling Silver Size 7.5:
$229.00

Welcome!

This stunning ring, has clean strong lines which draw attention. It\'s much more gorgeous in person than in its pictures. It features a beautiful smooth hard green turquoise stone with a small amount of matrix. (It could be chrysocolla, but I think it\'s old turquoise.) The stone will look more blue, as you can see, against blue, but it\'s more green against green. But the stone is great looking all the time. Another strange thing about the ring is that in pictures it looks like there\'s gold on the terrific stamped raindrops that encircle the stone, but to the eye, I just can\'t see gold. It looks silver to me. It\'s an anomaly. The gold may be a camera reflection or the raindrops could be made of gold. The stamping on them is very deep and strong stamping, so the raindrops are gorgeous. The ring tests as sterling silver. The work on the sterling silver is exceptionally lovely. I really appreciate the way he did the raindrops. In addition to the pointy stamped raindrops there are two twisted wires and one heavy plain wire making up the shank, which widens near the front for stability so the ring doesn\'t turn on the hand. A lot of care was given to the silver work. There\'s also a twisted wire between the serrated bezel set stone and the stamped raindrops framing the stone. The work on the ring is excellent, and the stone is beautiful. It\'s a substantial ring, measuring 1-1/4\" long, 1-1/16\" wide and weighing 15g, which is a lot for a ring. The stone is lovely and so is the silver work. The ring has a simplicity and elegance and it\'s very substantial to the hand and eye. The ring size is 7-1/2 on the ring sizer. This is a beautiful and unique older piece. It\'s unmarked as is to be expected for its age, but it\'s classic Navajo or Pueblo work. It could be your signature piece; you won\'t want to take it off. It\'s a great one with a classic elegance and a solidity and simplicity of design.

Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so I countercheck without relying on just one source, when possible. I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.

I request payment by PayPal in three days, but planned in advance of purchase alternate payment methods and time payments can be arranged.
