Original Civil War 1840 Artillery sword scabbard Ames:

This scabbard is in nice shape save some light dry rust that will come right off. No dents, no pitting. It appears to have some of a period nickle plate left on it. It will fit ant arty from 1862 forward. These all took throats which this one has. If you want to remove the throat, it will fit the earlier ones (just tap it out). This particular scabbard came with an 1862 Conn marked Ames in it. That has been sold seperately
