1970\'s Kiddie Ride Horse Manufactured by the Carousel International Corporation - Eldon, Missouri.
The Carousel International Corporation began manufacturing kiddie rides in 1968, in St Louis, Missouri. The founder moved the business to Eldon, Missouri in the early 1970\'s. They continued manufacturing kiddie rides in Eldon until their closing in 2007. They were the largest manufacturer of kiddie rides in the United States up until their closing. They were the supplier to Kmart\'s and other retailers across the United States. The idea was if your child was good in the store they would be rewarded with a ride after you went through the checkout line.
The pictured kiddie ride horse is the ride you will receive. Works like a charm including the coin mechanism box. It is set for 25 cents, though may be changed to where you do not have to deposit a coin. In addition, there is a song that plays during the ride.
Beautiful condition and has four attached wheels. The pictured cart under the ride is not a part of the ride, it was only used to move the horse over a door threshold to take photos outside.
The horse is made of cast aluminum.
