This is an extremely nice original and very hard to find small sized belt driven rock crusher. It is an \"Atlas Crusher\" made by the Nelson Machinery Company in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is in EXCELLENT original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one of the grease fittings being broken off. I had it out to grease it and it will be easy to replace. It turns over nicely with no noticeable wear in the bearings or even on the jaws! It certainly could not have seen much use! The jaw opening is 5 1/2 inches. The overall size of the machine is 20 inches wide x 16 inches long x 20 1/2 inches tall. It has 13 and 14 1/4 inch flywheels on it. One flywheel has v-belt grooves machined into it as it was when it left the factory. It would work just fine with a flat belt on it for show purposes. The flywheels have the name in raised letters and the crusher has some decent original paint on it yet. The only thing that will require some minor attention is that both adjustment knobs are stuck but I\'m sure with a little heat these would loosen up. Everything else seems to work as it should. These little rock crushers are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they are real attractions when they are belted to a hit and miss or steam engine at the shows. They are usually all beat up and full of welds from their years of service! Not this one. It\'s as close to perfect as you could hope to find.
