5847. Original WWII Diamond Tool Company Life Raft Pliers. These are brand new in the waterproof wrapper, just as they were carried in the original repair kits. A pair of pliers was used to hold the screw patch; this was a clamp-like affair which screwed two patches, one inside and one outside the raft surface, and tightened it up to make a seal. You get to open one just like what is pictured here- covered in kraft paper, sealed inside waxed cloth. The tool is pretty useful- it is a small pair of slip-joint pliers and one of the handle ends is a flat-bladed screw driver. It makes a useful tool for your WWII jeep or aircraft or footlocker. DOMESTIC (US) SHIPPING: US Customers pay USPS Priority Mail On-Line Rates plus a $2.00 to $4.00 handling fee (depending on the item size and packaging requirements) which includes insurance for items up to $50.00. If flat-rate USPS shipping is less expensive, I will use that to lower our cost of shipping. Items over 5 lbs weight are typically shipped UPS ground. I always try to find the lowest cost shipping for my customers.
3. If you are unsure about shipping before you offer, contact me to find out what these costs including packing, insurance and customs fees will be. Please be prepared to pay your country\'s customs fees.
4. I require insurance for shipment of any item over $25.00 including shipping. I insure the item for everything you pay- final price, shipping, handling, and insurance. In order to insure the item for what you pay, I must list the full value of the item on the customs forms, including sale price, shipping, insurance, and handling. I cannot insure an item for the amount of your purchase (including shipping and handling) if this is not listed on the customs form; if the item is lost, and it is not insured, you can\'t be reimbursed. Please don\'t ask me to ship any item over $25.00 without insurance.
5. I will not falsify customs forms. This is a crime in my country and I will not do it. Please don\'t ask me to falsify custom forms.
6. INTERNATIONAL (NON-US) SHIPPING: International customers pay whatever shipping I determine is most efficient and appropriate for their country, plus a $5.00 handling fee, plus insurance fees.
