For sale is an original pair of WWII British RAF Royal Air Force Pilot \"Escape Boots\". These were actually worn in combatby aUnited States Army Air ForcesP-47 Thunderbolt pilot, 1st Lt. Perry M. Lusby, 366th Fighter Squadron. Boots are in excellent condition, no flaws,exempt light wear from age and use. Leather is solid, soft and supple! No cracks or tears. Zippers work great, one side is marked \"LIGHTNING\" and the other has a British government \"Broad-Arrow\" mark. Uppers are made of soft black suede leather with sheep skin lining. Size 8-9 US. Actual measurements are11 3/4\" in length, and 14 1/4\" tall.Hees are marked \"TRIPLEWEAR PANCO\", and soles are marked \"BILTRITE\", \"GRIPLUG, WILL NOT SLIP\", the white dots are marked \"NURON\". Soles show moderate wear, no cracks or chips. I believe the laces are also original.
