Selection and testing
Tubes must meet certain criteriabefore I will list them for sale. This includes physical integrity (no piecesrattling around inside the envelope,tight bases (where applicable), nocracked bases, no bent or corroded pins, no loose top caps, etc.), andelectrical testing. On occasion I will list a tube or tubes that may not meet theusual criteria (physical defect or low emission), but this will be noted in thelisting details. On rare occasion I might miss a defect before listing the tubefor sale. If this happens, please notify me and I will correct the listing ifthe tube has not yet sold. If you end up purchasing a tube with a defect,please let me know immediately and I\'ll make it right. I strive to ensure thatevery buyer has a good experience in purchasing from me.
All tubes are tested for gas,shorts, emission, and transconductance on a calibrated Hickok 6000A unlessotherwise noted. Results are listed, along with the typical NOS value given inthe chart for that tube. PLEASE NOTE: None of the old Hickok testers (and thisincludes the venerable 539 series) are lab-quality instruments! Test resultsare likely to vary between instruments, and this is to be expected. Please takethe results given as an approximate value. If the tube does not meetexpectations, you may return it for a refund per our return policy below.
I try to keep tubes packaged withtheir original boxes whenever possible. Original boxes may not exist (in thecase of used tubes, or in the case of manufacturer bulk packs) or may bedamaged beyond reuse -- inthese cases the tube will be reboxed in a new whitebox, and will be noted as such in the table above on the \"box type\"row.
Guarantee and return policy
All tubes are guaranteed to matchthe details of the listing, or I will be happy to accept their return forrefund. Please notify me within 30 days if there\'s a problem and I\'ll correctit to your satisfaction. If you have a problem withyour order, please send me a message and wait for my reply - I will almostalways reply within 24 hours, and usually much quicker than that. Opening acase in the resolution center hurts my seller rating, even if the case isresolved satisfactorily. IMPORTANT: All tubes are stamped with anidentifier to ensure that, in the event of a return, I get the tubes back thatI originally sold. The stamp is very similar to the chalky paint that tubemanufacturers used, and as such, it is removable if rubbed with sufficientforce. Please be careful not to rub the stamp off until the tube meets yoursatisfaction. Under no circumstances will I accept tubes for return that aremissing this stamp. Non-defective tubes which are returned to me for refundmust arrive back to me in the same condition as which they were sent to you --this includes the condition of the box(es) and the printing on the tube(s).

DOMESTIC: Free USPS shipping is offered on all tubes purchased with Buy-It-Now. Orders that weigh 16 oz. or less are generally shipped via the USPS First Class Package service, and orders weighing over that amount are shipped via USPS Priority Mail service. Other services are available at additional cost. If you prefer a shipping method that is not listed, please let me know prior to payment. I can ship via any USPS or UPS method that is applicable to your ZIP code.
INTERNATIONAL: USPS First Class International shipping is available for orders that are valued at USD$100 or less; which weigh four pounds or less; and which are destined for Australia, Canada, Europe, or Japan. All other orders must ship USPS Priority Mail International. If the \"Small Flat Rate Box\" option is listed for this order, the order is able to be shipped in a less expensive flat rate box. However, the small flat rate box allows little room for padding and so there is a higher risk of damage in transit.For maximum protection, choose the higher-cost Priority Mail International option, as this will allow the tubes to be shipped in a larger box with ample cushioning.Please note that First Class International may take a month or two to reach some destinations.
