Handcarved from teakwood or similar tropical hardwood in the Caribbean.Vlastislav Kacal was a Czechoslovakian emigrant who studied at Bristol University and moved to Trinidad around the 1960s. Makers Mark stamped on back : \"Made byV.Kacal, Trinidad, B.W.I.\" BWI is acronym for British West Indies. Some of Kacals work has sold for high prices in the USA. Tray in good condition with polish, some marks on back. Comes with four cast pottery coasters with sheepdog design. Size: 12 x 8 x 1 inch approx. 300g. packages recycled and sent 2nd class in the UK.
