I have been using Penn International reelsfor over forty years and the work horse of the linehas always beenthe 50single speed. I have caught dozens of blue marlin with these reels as well as swordfish and lots of yellowfin tuna. I've never lost a fish due to reel failure in all those years.

The International 50 has a line capacity of 600 yards of 50 pound line, a 3:1 gear ratio and weighs in at67 ounces. Penn spec. sheet says it has a one piece pinion spool and spool shaft. Stainless steel ball bearings. Double dog design provides maximum security and long wear-freelife. Unique drag system. Pre-set drag automaticallykeeps drag tension within safe limits. Lever action drag control ranges over 120 degrees. Pre-set Strike. Loud distinctive warning click.

This PENN INTERNATIONAL 50 REEL is in good mechanical shape, not fished since being cleaned and lubed at the local reel shop. The reel shows normal wear and some boat rash. Chrome is scratched just above the drag knob. The anodized gold aluminum is in pretty good shape with some scratches and wear. The nice thing about the Penn International is parts are readily available for them. MADE IN THE USA.
