Full disclosure - I do not how this unit works. However it powers up, the FM tuning gauge and Multipath lights work as I come near my local FM stations. I tried hooking this up to my rack system using some crappy speakers and I did hear the stations, but very faintly. I\'m sure that this needs a lot more power than I had available to work with. I bought this unit at the same sale as the Carver preamps I just sold but forgot I had it so never got around to testing it. There are no dings or dents but there are a couple of scratches on the top and sides.
