Here is my Pioneer PD-56 Elite CD Player. This player is in almost like new conditions. Please take a look at the photos. This is a fine performing machine equipped with famous Pioneer Stable Platter. It reads all my discs, factory pressed and CD-Rs quickly. I have even tried heavily scratched CDs and this player reads them all. Pioneer Stable Platter is the best CD reading device I have had chance to test and I have tried many different ones.
The player is equipped with digital RCAand opticaloutput which makes this machine a great transport for your external DAC.
This is very well designed and built machine and also very heavy. Made in Japan. The chassis is copper plated. Electrolyticcapacitors are high quality audio grade Elna capacitors with oversized capacitance and voltage ratings. This makes them lightly loaded and prolongs their lifetime significantly.I have modified this already good player to even further increase its sound quality.I have added AC power entry filter.Output ICs are replaced with high performance professionalgrade ICs LME49720HE.I have replaced rectifying diodes with low noise soft recovery diodes. I have also added additional high quality film and tantalum capacitors around DACS and output ICs.The output electrolytic capacitors are replaced with high quality film capacitors.As a result you will be rewarded with detailed, dynamic and clear sound with extremelylow background noise and deep bass.The laser lens is cleaned.Muting transistors are disabled and output RCA connectors are cleaned.
