9 on a 10 pt. scaleThis unit is in overall great condition. The faceplate is very clean with only a couple of very minor flaws. The Chassis is also in very good condition minus a missing back foot.

Here you go, a very clean Pioneer RT-909. The bass is unbelievably good; tight, crisp, and mesmerizing. Produced in the late 70\'s the Pioneer RT-909 is the top of the line Pioneer reel to reel. The reel has four heads and speeds of 3.75 and 7.5 IPS. It will accept 10 or 7 inch reels.Features include; Auto reverse and auto repeat mechanisms, Feather-touch tape function buttons, Symmetrical tape transport system with closed loop dual capstan, FG servo DC motor, Electromagnetic brake to preserve the tape and display a fast response speed, A highly precisioned guide roller and tension arm mechanism for protecting the tape, Digital bar-graph fluorescent display meter, and a 4-digit tape counter.This reel has been recently serviced and all functions fully tested:The pinch rollers and the belt are new. The heads and tape path have been cleaned and the heads demagnetized. This unit is variable voltage and will work anywhere in the world without an adapter...unless, of course, you don\'t have electricity.One of the back support feet has broken off however, it does not affect operation or cosmetics. You can see more in the pictures below.
