Have another floor frame that I use at home.The Pittsburg rug hooking frame has \"gripper strips\" to hold the backing tightlywithout damaging the fibers. The gripper strips keep the backing taut while loops are being pulled up from below. It also allows the backing to be pulled up and off the frame easily when moving to a new area to be hooked. It isportable, lightweight butsturdyand folds easily for travel. The folding arms support the frame at an angle that allows you to work comfortably.Flipping the frame over while closing it into the bottom tray protects the gripper strips and you, and stores the frame for travel. The bottom try is great to put scissors when hooking so you have them within reach.Made of plastic and metal, the frame measures 13\" by 16\" across the top [opening is 13\" X 10\" ] and folds to 2\" high for storage or transport. Currently selling for $239 new.
