During the vintage years of auto racing, FIAT was a name to be reckoned with. One of their classic cars from that period was the F2, a 130 HP racer.The car\'s motor was based on the earlier FIAT 110 HP Gordon Bennet model which performed so excellently at the 1904 Grand Prix de France.The F2 was constructed under the supervision of Carlo Cavalli especially for the 1907 Grand Prix de France. With Felice Nazzaro at the wheel, this early racer captured first place at an average speed of 113.612 km/h.The FIAT F2 has been viewed as the vanguard motor car for this period and posted speeds up to 160 km/h. The car is now on display at the Turin Automobile Museum.
