LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of THE POSTWAR BURLINGTON PASSENGER TRAIN SET made by Lionel the 1955-56 time period. Included in the set is the 2328 BURLINGTON GP7 LOCO which has magna-traction, interior lights, operating automatic couplers on each end and a diesel horn, the 2432 CLIFTON VISTA DOME, 2435 ELIZABETH PULLMAN, & 2436 SUMMIT OBSERVATION CAR, these cars are all silver with red letters and have interior lights and the all metal passenger car trucks with automatic coil couplers. Set is all original Post War Lionel including all parts and paint with no paint touchups.

DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: This is a well matched and beautiful looking set. The plastic shells are all in great shape, no cracks, breaks or chips. NO screw hole cracks! The silver color is almost flawless, nice and bright, way better than you usually find on these GPs and cars. Window decals, lettering and numbers are all bright and clear. The interior battery compartment and the entire interior on the GP is great. Trucks and rollers all in great shape. About the only mark on the entire set is a slight bit of rust around the battery opening on the frame of the GP (see picture) Again, set looks great, and IMHO I would rate it as in C-7, excellent plus condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge.

WORKING CONDITION: I have cleaned, lubed and tested the loco and it runs and reverses perfectly. E-unit cycles just fine. I did not test the horn, they are much too finicky to know when they will or will not work. Also all thelight in the passenger cars work fine.
