POSTWAR LIONEL 6557 SMOKING CABBOSE in ORIGINAL BOX WITH INSTRUCTIONS
LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of one of the more unusual and hard to find cabooses made by Lionel during the Post War Period, the 6557 SMOKING CABBOSE. Caboose has the all metal bar end trucks with magnetic couplers and a internal light. But more important it has the unique smoking feature, put some liquid some in the smoke stack and watch the smoke come out. Caboose is all original Post War Lionel. Includes with the caboose is the original box (missing end flaps on one end) and the original instruction sheet.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: Caboose is in great shape. No cracks, breaks, chips or rust, great color, trucks and couplers in great shape, lettering on one number a little rubbed away but all other numbers and lettering looks fine, end railings all fine. Smoking mechanism looks good. Again, a great looking car that IMHO I would rate as in C-7, excellent condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge.
WORKING CONDITION: I have tested the light and it works fine as does the smoking feature..
