HISTORYThe R-2800 was used to power several types of fighters and medium bombers during WWll notably the US Navy\'s F4U Corsair and F6F Hellcat, US Army P-47 Thunderbolt, and the twin engined B26 Marauder and A26 Invader. By 1944 the R-2800 were rated at 2,800 HP with water injection!
