Large Pre Columbian terracotta pottery vessel, jar from Cochle culture in Panama. Wonderful colors and design iconic patterns surrounding base typical of lots of Cochle vessels. Large bulbous base and tallchimney and flared rim. Chimney has colorful rings around it. It looks and feels oldold and has a thick wall. Covered with great patina, with manganese deposits, and root markings. There is fading of paint and some surface scratching and abrasions. One one side and a little on the base of rim are a couple of stable stress fractures. These are not pieces replaced. I did add something to strengthen the piece as a whole.Purchased from Artemis Gallery and it comes with a COA
