  • This is a prewar, Cleveland Welding Company built, Major badged, girls bicycle.

  • Serial number is B76086.

  • Cleveland Welding made Roadmaster bicycles as their own brand. They built bicycles for other sellers, too.

  • The old brass head badge says Major. I believe it was named for Marshal \"Major\" Taylor, an African American bicycle racer, who won the world championship for 1 mile track in 1899. He overcame tremendous prejudice, to become the world\'s best. Teddy Roosevelt was a fan of Major Taylor.

  • It may have been sold at a particular hardware or department store. I can\'t find any info on where it was sold.

  • It has some good parts on it.

  • Paisley chain guard. It is solid, not rusted through.

  • CWC type battery operated tail light.

  • Good 1930s rear front hub.

  • New Departure Model D rear hub. There is rust on the chrome shell.

  • The rear fender has holes for a string skirt guard.

  • The fenders are in pretty good condition. They are not dented and not rusted through. They have flat fender braces.

  • Original saddle and pedals.

  • The original stem is good with rust in the chrome.

  • It does not look like original paint.

  • Most of the chrome, or nickle, or whatever it is, is rusted.

  • Frame and fork are in good condition.

  • The stem, pedals and other parts, will be removed easily. The bolts and nuts are not rusted and turn freely.
  • It will be carefully packed in a bicycle shipping box.

  • I will ship it within one business day of payment.
