PriMiTiVe HALLOWEEN BAT ART DOLL & LITTLE JACKOLANTERN BAT
\"MIDNIGHT BITE\"

Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Halloween Offerings. Here we have a Primitive Bat Art Doll & Little Jackolantern Bat that I have fondly named \"Midnight Bite\". This piece would display nicely as a wallhanging or sitter on the hearth or anywhere with your Halloween Decor. He measures 12\" tall and 9\" wide.

I created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. The Bat doll is sewn from tea-dyed muslin and stuffed with fiberfill. She features a hand-stitched mouth with black floss, painted black nose, painted green eyes, and I have given her those wonderful uplifted eyelids hand-stitched onto her face for a realistic look. Her facial features are hand-painted and shaded with black paint using a dry-brush method. Her wings are quilted by hand-stitching with black floss over padded muslin. Her feet appear webbed. All seams and edges of the doll are dry-brush in black for shading. Black sheeps wool was needle felted between the ears for the tuft of hair.

The little Jackolantern Bat was sewn from muslin, painted burnt orange, sanded well and shaded in black around the edges. The wings are painted solid black. The eyes are painted green with separate prim-stitched eye lids. The triangle nose was painted black and the mouth was hand-stitched in black floss. Black sheeps wool was needle felted onto his head for the tuft of hair. It appears by the looks of his wings that he has been bitten by the big bat.

I have given her a Prim Tag that has been stained in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon mixture and topped with a nostalgic vintage greeting card image of a witch holding her Jackolantern that says \"Of Hallowe\'en\" and a little poem at the bottom. I have bordered the image with fine orange German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle.This piece has been lovingly made by me from a pattern designed by Thread Bare Primitives.

Each design will come to you signed, dated and tagged with my own label \"Vintage Keepsake Trunk\" which states \"The Handcrafting and Time Invested in this Piece are its Own Mark of Quality\".

All items come from my smoke free sewing studio and are boxed with tissue and bubblewrap for safe shipping at No extra charge.
