Creamy white, sheer lace, pigeon-breasted, high neck, pin tucks, fabulous sweep. Pull over style, with a series of mother-of-pearl buttons and hook & eye fasteners up the hips, back and neck. Unlined, and our model is wearing black underneath to show details. This dress is authentic Edwardian and incredibly lovely!
Size: extra small to small.Laid flat, 16-17\" across at the bust (plus extra fabric in front because of pigeon-breast style); laid flat, 13\" at the waist;laid flat, 7.5\" at the armholes; laid flat, 15\" across the shoulders, from seam to seam. Length is 56\", sleeves are 25\", sweep is 120\".
Condition: very good!Recently hand laundered, line dried. There are some breaks and holes in the lace (see photos for most, a few more on sleeves not in photos), a few areas that have a faint blue tinge, a few age spots and minor discolorations.The fabric is strong, there are no missing buttons, though the shine on the mother-of-pearl buttons is a bit worn. Bonus! - this dress was found with a matching shawl in imperfect, torn condition (see photo). It will be included for re-making, repairs, or re-purposing.
