Forsell is theprototypefor the Wessex Tubas cimbasso. It varies from the production model principally in having triggers on 2nd and 5th slides. It is pitched in F.
This instrument has been exhibited and has had stay moved, so is not perfect, but plays well and of course being prototype, it is all handmade.
The 2nd slide trigger does not work so well, and needs stronger spring, or slide lapping. Otherwise, everything is working well.
It comes in large case as illustrated (much bigger than the production cimbasso).
Normal price for the cimbasso is £2,875 - so this is opportunity to get one cheaper.
