The first thing that strikes you about this table is the condition, having just been restored by my very experienced restorer (50 years) it is consequently in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use in the home or for retailing in a prestigious showroom or fair.The second thing that strikes you about this table is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this table chose some very good quality timbers for the job, this has resulted all these years later in a table with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by walnut of this age and quality.
Thirdly are the proportions, the design of this table is just right and the table benefits from having a good balance, meaning that it “sits” well with a real “presence”
Now we know everything on is “fantastic” “glorious” “superb” “brilliant” “magnificent” “greatest” “resplendent” “superior” etc etc but when we say this is a very good table we mean it.
