Here\'s the story..... I sent an old Winston 7\'6\" 2pc 5wt fiberglass back to Winston to have the ferrule gap repaired. A beautiful old rod itself. The rod was picked up at the post office in Twin Bridges, logged into the shop and then it was gone. After a few calls and after looking for the rod it was determined that somehow it was gone. Let me be clear about one thing, they are the nicest people I\'ve ever had the opportunity to speak with. They went above and beyond to help. Before I could even think about what to do they offered to make me a new fiberglass fly rod from older stock blanks in their museum. Wow!!  This is why Winston is the finest fly rod company in the world.   Winston embarked on making a one off custom three-piece 7\'6\" five weight rod from the Stalker Series fiberglass along with guides and components from that era as well. The reel seat is from the Montana era and also old stock. The half wells grip is unique and very comfortable in hand.  This is what Winston thought would make for a great rod. 

The ferrule fit is perfect at 1/4\" on each section. Never fished!!
