This is aGorgeous, Near Mint Condition,1968 ConnElkhart 79H.This is aninstrument which I aquired from a small store in the area which has sinceclosed. They specialized in professionalbrass instruments. This 79Hwas located in a climate controlled, and sealed storage area of the store. It appears to have been handled a few times,a scartch on the tuning crooknot notable in pictures, and would be even hard to find with the naked eye, somescratches on the slide, again very minute, from most likely hand jewelry, other than that it is NearMINT.This is by far is one ofthe best Conn 79H's that I have played to date, the intonation is perfect, it blows freely and slots very well. It retains appx. 99.9% of its original lacquer. The tuning crooks are free, and the slide is as smoooth as glass and shows no wear at all. Both the inner and outer slide tubes are in perfect condition and numbers match. The valve is perfectly silent, and the action is swift. Serial Number L06105. It is a numbers matching trombone. This superb trombone was made in Conn's Elkhart, Indiana factory in 1968, one of the last of the legendary Elkhart Conn trombones. The 79H is the same instrument as the Conn 88H, but with slightly smaller (.523") bore and 8" yellow brass bell. For some players and some situations, the 79H may be a better choice than the 88H. It's a versatile trombone, equally at home playing first trombone parts in a symphony orchestra, or concert band and solo work. Some jazz and big band trombonists have even used the medium bore 78H and 79H (F-attachment)Your personal satisfaction is guaranteed, as I know that you will love this trombone. This trombone would make any performer or collector proud to own. Feel free to ask any questions.
