For sale: Racing Go Kart PLANS

Hello ers today I am selling a set of racing go-kart plans that I have been working on for some time. The plans include over 120 pages of comprehensive instruction detailing how to build a go-kart like the one you see above in the list photo and more! The instructions are professional quality, designed using SolidWorks the industry leader in 3D CAD programs.

The Plans are broken down into 3 sections:

Part I

· Preface: Contains a quick summary of how to read engineering drawings

· General information: Contains cost estimates, tools needed, electronics & safety equipment, welding & cutting metal guide, and a list of recommended websites.

Part II – Go Kart Design

This section features plans for constructing an easy to build go kart like the one shown in the list photo, contains information on all relevant go kart assemblies including:

· Frame, rear axle, steering, front wheel, throttle, brake, gas tank, and seat assemblies

Part III – Racing Go Kart Design

This section features plans to construct a racing go kart chassis that accounts for all necessary steering geometry including camber, castor, toe angles, and Ackerman steering. It also includes all you need to know about constructing a race ready engine, the mathematics of Ackerman and an alternative steering method, and go kart vehicle dynamics. Finally this section concludes with engineering drawings detailing how to build a racing go kart chassis.

Background:

Originally I built this go-kart as part of a school project. When I was designing it I found that reliable and aesthetically pleasing plans where hard to come by, non-existent, or cost a fortune! So I ended up designing my go-kart completely from scratch. After I finished building it I post some “how to” videos on YouTube (channel 123frederikt if you’re interested!) as part of a pitch to add some personality to my college resume. Unexpectedly many YouTube users began asking me if I had any plans to help them build their own go-karts. So that inspired me to create the plans you are buying today.

About the Design:

When I designed this go kart I designed it to be driven on pavement, this design has no suspension but with a little creativity suspension could be incorporated into the design by the buyer. The total cost for building this go kart is approximately between 2700$ and 3000$ with money split between raw materials (130-250$), tools (1750$), and go kart parts (890-1075$). It should be noted that the majority of money will be spent on tools assuming the fact that the user has NONE. On another note this go-kart is also designed for adults or teenagers anywhere from 5’8”-6’2” (my height) but this can be adjusted by shortening the frame.
