In case you didn\'t know this already, buying a scanner will only get you halfway toward hearing what you want to hear. The other half is programming, because no scanner comes perfectly ready to go out of the box.
Not a fan of programming? I have good news.
This Radio Shack Pro-106 will be ready to go right out of the box. I will take care of all the programming, so you won\'t have to spend hours and hours gathering and inputting all the data for your area.
Go to the Radio Shack or Radio Reference website to find the specifics on the Pro-106 frequency ranges and all that stuff, but to sum it up, it will scan pretty much any trunking system out there (EDACS, Motorola Smartnet, LTR, P25 Auto, etc) as well as any P25 or analog conventional frequency. 800mhz. 700mhz. It does it all. And in case you didn\'t know, it is exactly the same as the Radio Shack Pro-651. It just has a different paint job because of some recent manufacturer changes.This scanner is used, but it looks good, and it works perfectly. Take a look at the photos. I tried to get some good close-ups. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10 cosmetically. I even upgraded the firmware to the latest version 2.1.
