This Raggedy Ann and Andy Talking Alarm Clock from 1974 by the Janex Corp., Red Bank, NJ, made in Hong Kong, belonged to my daughter, so it has always been in our possession. This clock comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment.
This extremely clean clock is in very good condition. It is made of a hard plastic and is approximately 6 1/2" wide x 6 1/2 high x 2 3/4" deep. There are no chips or cracks on this clock. There is a 1/2" mark on the front just under Raggedy Ann's left arm (see 5th picture.) It looks like a melt mark.
The clear plastic over the clock face is also in great shape with no chips or cracks. The clock face and clock hands are just as colorful as when this clock was new. The hands turn as intended when the wind keys are used. THIS CLOCK TICKS and the hands move as the ticking takes place.
Raggedy Ann and Andy are also in great shape with no cracks or breaks. Their colors are also extremely vibrant. Raggedy Ann has come unglued, but the 1/4" plastic round piece on the inside of her which was apparently used to glue her on is still completely intact; thus, she can be easily reglued.
The battery cover and batterycompartmentare in great shape and are very clean. This clock takes a C battery (1.5 volts) -not included. I cannot get this clock to "talk" when I insert the battery. Maybe someone with "special powers" will be able to do so.
