Welcome! For your consideration is this 16\" Pintel and Godchaux Bebe that is completely original. First the back story....I am only the 3rd owner of this doll. The collector that I bought her from had her in the collection for many years after buying her from the original owner\'s family. And she has been in my collection for several years the only reason that I am selling her is that I am downsizing my collection and she is ready for a new home.She has an absolutely gorgeous face. original blonde mohair wig, still glued down, original silk dress that I don\'t believe has ever been removed and I will not remove, but it is starting to melt. She is on the original 5 piece french body (reference the Encyclopedia of French Dolls by Theimer Vol 2 pages 466-467.) The tip of her thumb has been damaged and it looks as thought finger next to it has an old repair. The head is marked P7G and looks to be in great condition as the wig and pate are all glued down I do not see any exterior damage but it is loose. French shoes marked with an 8, set blue spiral eyes and an open/closed mouth. I don\'t believe this doll was ever played with as she looks to be as she was found in the shoppe were she was purchased. I went ahead and pulled the wig to check the head as I am sure that is what everyone is wondering about. No cracks, no Hairlines and only a very slight chip at the crown which I have taken a photo of. The head was stuffed with very old tissue paper and excelsior which I have also taken a photo of. She comes in what I believe to be her original box from the retailer although there is no label on the box, someone during her life has taken the time to reinforce one of the ends that was falling apart. This is a wonderful doll and amazing opportunity for the serious doll collector to acquire a rare doll such as this in original presentation.
