VERY RARE AND ORIGINAL 1884 A BOOKE OF FISHING WITH HOOKE AND LINEThis book is a first edition reprinted from the edition of 1590 with preface and glossary by Thomas Satchell, limited to 200 copies and apparently a fire destroyed many of the copies. This information is documented in \"Dodds Fishing Rhymes\" 1913.
The book is in very good condition for its age. The binding is tight, the board covers have a leather covered spine with some gold gilding remains. Beautiful fancy endpapers marbleized front and back. The illustrations are from woodcuts and is 52 pages. Brown cloth cover boards with some corner wear, some creasing to back cover, and rubs to spine shown well in the images. There are a few light pencil notations shown in the images. The pages are mostly clean without out writing, tears or folds. The page edges are roughly cut.
