I am offering this rare, collectible 1933 CHICAGO WORLD’S FAIR CENTURY OF PROGRESS “Lucky Coin” for sale. I found it years ago in the attic of our summer cabin in Montana. The coin commemorates the city of Chicago’s 100th anniversary. The front of the coin says,” A CENTURY OF PROGRESS 1833-1933-4 CHICAGO.” The graphics are of a wonderful American Indian with full feather headdress, a city skyline in the background, and a teeny-tiny airplane in the sky. The back side says, “TAKE ME FOR LUCK” and has an American Eagle in the center.
The coin seems to be made of solid brass, but its patina is a warm copper-y color (I’m not a coin collector and can’t be absolutely certain of the metal). It is in excellent condition, showing very little wear at all. I have not cleaned or polished it in any way. It is about 1 1/4” in diameter. I am selling it “as is.”
I will wrap it carefully and ship it with delivery confirmation to anywhere within the continental USA, Alaska or Hawaii. The S/H cost will be $2.70. I only accept PayPal payment. I make every effort to give an accurate description. Please look at the photos carefully and read the full description before you offer, as I do not accept returns unless I have grossly misrepresented an item. I will gladly try to answer any questions you have, so feel free to send me an email.
Payment must be received 3 days after sale end. If there has been no payment or communication within three days, the item will be held back, re-listed or offered to the next highest buyer. I reserve the right to disqualify any buyers with significant negative response and offer the item to the next highest buyer. I ship as soon as possible after receiving cleared PayPal payment (excluding Sundays and holidays)...usually within one day. Though rarely necessary, please allow several days for delivery, as mail is sometimes delayed due to shipping method, weather, etc. When you receive your item safe and sound, please let me know with your positive response and I will very promptly return the favor. Thank you so much for your interest!
