As many of you long time ers will recall, we (EarthHunt) managed the sale for the Montana Archive for over 3 years on back in the early 2000’s. We sold over a thousand lots of rare western memorabilia from Montie’s museum. Before our own sale, there was a major sale at Butterfields in San Francisco. I attended that sale and purchased a number of lots for my own collections. This lot is from our personal collections, acquired at Butterfields. We are listing it at an sale opener far below value and will let you all have some fun!

THIS 20 YEAR, NON-STOP TOUR, ENTERTAINED AND SET AN EXAMPLE FOR OVER 8,000,000 YOUNGSTERS, ALL OVER THE US.
This lot contains the following 5 very rare items:
1) This 8x10 photo is a one-of-a-kind. We never saw another like it in Montie’s archive. It shows him on his trained horse Poncho Rex, riding down the aisle of a packed elementary school theater. The looks on the faces of the c1955 young people in awe of their cowboy hero is priceless. Montie is wearing one of his fancy custom Nudie shirts and his trademark “MM” cowboy boots, and is grinning from ear to ear.
2) A FULL COLOR c1955 WEBER’S BREAD SIGN – IT IS A HARD CARDBOARD GREY-STOCK LITHOGRAPH BY SCHMIDT LITHO OF LOS ANGELES, c1955. It measures 13.875” x 6.875” and features Montie Montana with his daughter Linda Montana, and his horse, Poncho Rex. The sign says “A FAMILY TRADITION – MONTIE MONTANA AND LINDA – WEBER’S BREAD”. It is completely flawless having been stored at Montie’s Ranch Archives until we purchased it. We have stored it to archival standards for 15 years. You can imagine how few of these signs ever ended up in flawless condition after 72 years. Here is the only one we have.
3-5) THREE (3) POSTERS FROM THE WEBER’S BREAD TOUR c1955. They each measure 14.125” x 10.125” and are in excellent original condition. They are all identical. They state “MONTIE MONTANA IS COMING – DON’T MISS MONTIE MONTANA AND HIS EDUCATED HORSE, REX, IN THEIR ENTERTAINING SHOW – SPONSORED BY GOOD WEBER’S BREAD.” Montie is shown on Rex with Rex bowing as Montie tips his hat. He is riding on a fancy Edward Bohlin silver saddle and lasso. These three yellow posters are all in excellent mint condition with just a hint of age OFFERING WAS ORIGINALLY FROM THE PERSONAL ARCHIVE COLLECTIONS OF COWBOY STAR, RODEO & ROPING LEGEND MONTIE MONTANA. MONTIE MONTANA WAS A TRUE AMERICAN COWBOY LEGEND.
