Super rare and all original, circa 1930, CHAD VALLEY, large 22\" tall,fully jointed, cloth Fairytale (storybook) doll (attributed to be \"Sleeping Beauty\" ) with beautiful blue, inset glass eyes.She has a swivel head with lovely molded and painted features and her original thick blond, handsewnmohair wig. She also has long, graceful jointed arms and legs with shaped knees and feet and wears all her original clothing: a lovely, long brown, soft velveteen dress with petal shaped hemline, long sleeves with russet velveteencuffs and matching, wide velveteen sash, applied matching \"leaves and red apples\" around the neckline, on the skirt and down one sleeve, a braided gold wreath in her long hair, cotton undies, cotton knitslip, gold leatherette shoes with center snap closures and replaced cotton socks. She has her sewn-on full cloth label on the bottom of her foot: Hygienic Toys/Made in England by/Chad Valley Co. Ltd. and beautifully shaped hands with individually stitched fingers and separate thumbs. She has a zigzag stitched seam at the back of her neck and no damages or stains, no moth holesor stains, no fading or repairs andno odors as she is from a smoke free home.
