I was 10 yrs old when my moms best friend gave me this, her fathers fife and a D flute, She said he had played them in a marching band back in the early 1900s and earlier before she was born. she was in her 50s back in 1950s when she gave them to me. My Mom studied classical piano at Julliard back in the 1920s, her friends were all musical types.
