A very rare, original, boxed marine navigational plotter called \'The Cole Course Protractor\' M.C. Company Sole Makers, patented October 1907 & August 1919. It is made by the Marine Compass, Co. of Bryantville, Mass.
A very unique item, made of polished brass.
The drawing rule, is connected by brass arms and as it rotates to plot a course line, arrow pins rotate on the main azimuth wheel to line up with longitude & latitude lines along navigational charts.
A nice unusual item, fully functional ,and in excellent condition for its age.
The box is 22\"long x 4 1/2\" wide x 2 1/2\" deep
The azimuth circle is 3 1/4\" in diameter x 1 1/2\" high
& the boxed length of the protractor is 16 1/2\" long.
