This sale is for the pictured Rare Antique U.S Navy Seth Thomas Course Clock. Serial number on the clock is 20740. The clock runs and occasionally a bell rings. It has the key and many parts. I just don\'t know how to use them! The box is approximately 12\" x 12\" x 9\". Diameter of the clock face is 7 3/4\".

I didn\'t find out much on the internet, but did find a manual under Course-Clock-Mark2.pdf.

As best I can figure, they were used to zig-zag the ship to make it more difficult for submarines that may be stocking them. The clock sends a signal to the ships steering to change course.

Check the pictures and feel free to ask questions. However, you will probably find better answers on the pdf.
