Up for the sale we have this antique Chinese Mission doll, I believe to be Door of Hope Mission doll, dating from 1930s,in original outfit.

Body of the doll is made of cotton, arms made of silk fabric,

body feels to be firmly stuffed with saw dust?, arms are stuffed a little bit softer with kapok or cotton,

doll\'s head is moulded composition with very delicate features -

painted eyes, eyebrows, upper eyelashes represented by black eyeline, red painted mouth,

nose has got nostrils,

the style of hair that men is wearing - traditional short plait at the back - moulded from composition and painted in black with some red and gold hair accessory.

Men is wearing blue silk suit comprising of traditional Chinese tunic with \'buttons\' made of black thread and trousers,

underneath silk top he wears cotton tunic,

on top of silk suit there\'s cotton apron,

pale green silk shoes are hand embroidered with flowers.

Doll is approx. 10\" (26 cm) tall.

Condition - item is in good original vintage condition with very slight general wear and discolouration to blue silk.
