A rare, blank button Steiff Tige dog c.1907-14, with original leather muzzle and lead. Tige is in fantastic condition, and has a swivel head and jointed legs. He measures 38 cms (15\") long from nose to cute curly tail, and stands 28 cms (11\") high. Made of cinnamon burlap with striking black striped airbrushed markings, Tige has original boot button eyes and an embroidered nose and mouth. His ears are lined with rust brown felt, and there\'s a tiny speck of stock label attached to his blank button. Tige\'s cream mohair bib matches his forepaws, and all his claws are intact. At some point his wood-wool stuffing has been topped up around his neck and chest with soft filling (via his bib), making him lovely and cuddly. The bib has been neatly re-sewn with tiny stitches. Overall, he\'s a great lovable character, and not in the least ferocious. But even though he doesn\'t bite, he\'s accompanied by his original leather muzzle and lead, ready to go walkies. It\'s quite fragile in places, and one of the straps is broken, but could probably be repaired. I think he looks far better without it, but it\'s still nice to have as a display prop.
