Up for sale is a vintage and RARE Glass Gallon Wine / Whiskey / Whisky 2-Handled Jug with \" JAS Gorman Co. Inc. Wholesale Liquor Dealers 16 E. Salem Ave. Roanoke VA\" embossed in the center of the bottle. The base has the following words embossed: \"The Nivison-Weiskopf Co.Cin.O\" which was the glass company that manufactured the jug as well as the number \"17\". The neck of the jug has the word \"THE\" on the one side and the word \"PATENT\" on the other.
The James Gorman Company was incorporated in Staunton, VA in 1909 which may date the jug somewhat.The jug is inVery Good Condition; no chips or cracks.The jug is 11\" tall by approx. 6\" wide and has a base diameter of 6\". It weighs 3 1/2 lbs.
