There are a number of these dense red dwarf brooms selected this way with each varying in some degree by size, leaf shape or color so that each has a personality of its own. Fireball is a very dense selection with long lobed purple red spring leaves becoming quite cherry red by fall (hence the name). Size can vary with culture but it seems three feet is a big one.
