RCA 44B, VINTAGE RIBBON MICROPHONE - NICE!First some interesting history related to this item...In 1953 the television station KCMO-TV in Kansas City was launched. Meredith Corporation acquired both the radio and television stations in October 1953, less than a month after the television station went on the air. My Uncle Harry Francis was the stations news producer and this RCA microphone was used in their radio days then moved to a news desk. It was given to me in the late 1980\'s after his death and has been stored in a box since that time. This is truly a closet find.
Rare Original Vintage RCA Type No. 44B Ribbon Microphone. This is a beautiful, and very classic Microphone. All of the cords and wires inside appear to be connected and in good condition. The microphone has a cord with an older version of what I assume is lo-impedance. The Microphone does have wear, due to its age. So, The fabric is dirty and the metal has some smudges and marks. There is also general wear elsewhere in the form of paint wearing off a little and other general marks and scratches. However, despite the wear and marks, It has all of the original parts in place including all of the screws so, this is still a beautiful and classic piece, and the wear testifies to the age of the piece. Please see Pictures. Thanks for Looking!
